Stanislaus County toolkit
MOMs+ is a maternal overdose prevention initiative designed to support clinicians in delivering evidence-based, equitable treatment and recovery services for perinatal patients with opioid use disorders (OUD). This collaborative effort aims to empower Stanislaus County’s DMC-ODS providers—including Adult System of Care teams working with individuals facing substance use disorders (SUD) and behavioral health challenges—as well as education and training leads, and multidisciplinary clinical teams (comprising clinicians, case managers, peers, housing specialists, psychiatrists, nurses, and staff in both residential and outpatient settings). The goal is to deepen understanding and expand access to resources for perinatal SUD care, ensuring alignment with the Perinatal Practice Guidelines (PPG) and promoting best practices in supporting pregnant and parenting individuals, with particular attention to newborn and family-centered care.
